No I don't think junk food should be banned from school vending machines because people make a good profit. Also it's a good STRATEGY to raise the prices on the snacks so they can get more money then what they bargain for. I'm sure in PREVIOUS years this has not been a problem of obesity or anything along those lines. Although if this begins to have problems then they should make a new ALTERNATIVE, such as healthier snacks.
Good job on your post Michael. Your right they could make a lot of money but think of the kids that are gaining weight because of the unhealthy snacks they are providing them.
