Portfolio - Future

I feel that my future is going to be very successful and I know I will be going towards the right path in life. Some goals that I have set for my near is future are to maintain good grades, have a good paying job, and to never let anything get in the way of things that I want and need to do. I need to stay motivated to reach my goals and keep striving for the best. My peers will also help me reach my goals by being there for me and having some type of leader. I do believe I will acheive my goals because I have gone to far to stop.

End of Year Reflection – Greatest High School Achievement

My greatest achievement of my high school career has been that I have maintained a 3.0 GPA. I just really felt that I had to be focussed and motivated to acheive this. I was really shocked to see a 3.0 on my report cards almost every time. Since I never got these type of grades before, it brought happiness and joy to myself so thats what really kept me going. This really changed me as a person to do well and strive for the best!

Portfolio - Improvement

Over the past two years, I have improved my writing skills. They are much better than before, I improved by a lot of practice and also help from my teachers. My reading skills before high school were decent, I wasn't the best reader but now I am very fluent. I improved by just more and more reading, I use to studder because I went to fast but now thats different. My speaking skills before high school were much different because I didn't use appropriate vocabulary. Now I learned how to speak and when and where is the best time to use certain vocabulary. I improved by my teachers helping me and pushing me to use better wording. My group-work skills were not very good because I was very shy and wouldn't want to contribute with my partners. Now I am much more social so I can help out my partners and they can help me. Before high school my technology skills were horrible, I didn't know how to use a computer. Now I am way better and can do pretty much anything.

End of Year Reflection – Greatest High School Obstacle

My greatest high school obstacle at SPA was to pass my math CAHSEE. I did not think I was going to pass with some of the struggles I have had in the past. I felt stressed before I took it, then when I found out I past I was very relived. This incident changed me into becoming a more confident person and to strive to do better in anything that I do. Now that I have accomplished that obstacle I am now motivated to do my best on anything that comes my way.

My Educational Experiences

Due to my educational experiences, I am currently a consistent student. Rather then before I was always off task and not wanting to participate in any of my classwork. From then to now, I would try to ditch school because I didn't like it at all. Now, I really am motivated to succeed in life so I decided to take school more seriously. Additionally, my past schools I would always get more C's and D's then anything else. Since I have been at SPA, I haven't got any D's or F's in any of my core classes which is a big improvement. I am currently staying on top of my work to make sure I am successful throughout my high school career.

Personal Changes Blog Paragraph

When I was a freshman, I was very quiet. Now, I am very collaborative and ask for help if or when I need it. For example, my freshman year I just sat there and tried to do my work when I didn't really know how to do it. In addition, I started to fall behind in the beginning of the year but I started to ask questions. Lastly, from last year to this year I now ask both Ms. Priester and Ms. Raquel for help when its needed. I am now excelling in more of my work and also getting it done. By my senior year, I hope to be on the road to graduation!

SPA Policy Blog Paragraph

One policy that I wish would change is that there can be visitors over when there is restriction. This policy is un fair, the visitor is there to obviously see me and him or her can talk to me out on the porch or be in my room. It should be changed because the policy takes it out on the entire house. Also, if this policy was changed it would be a lot better for everyone. I would be happy and also thankful if this policy was changed.

Academic Update Blog Paragraph

One word that describes about how I am doing in school and that is constant consistency. For example, I always turn in my work on time and I usually don't wait for the last minute to complete my work. On a regular basis I have to do my work because I just have that mind set of why not do my work now, rather then having to make it up during summer school. Mainly, I just try to get it done so it makes my life much easier. The last thing is that of course your education is most important and I know I have to keep doing my work to have one.

Spring Break Blog Post

During spring break, my mood was calm. For example, I mainly stayed home and watched videos and went out for a little to look around. This shows that my mood was really mellow and relaxing. This also shows that I didnt't do much during that whole week. In addition, I went to Belmont Park and we just walked around the majority of the time. This shows that I had the same mood on a regular basis. Looking back, I feel like I should have tried to do more activities.

Trayvon Martin Paragraph

George Zimmerman did not have the right to shoot him like that. No matter what even if it was out of suspicion, he should be charged with murder. Trayvon was just an all around good kid. But on the other hand George had a criminal record, he assaulted a police officer in the past. A weapon of George's choice was uneccesary, if anything he should of tackled Trayvon but even that was not needed. It just makes people think if they can walk down the street with a hoodie knowing if they are about to get shot like Trayvon did.

Rain, Vacation, or Zombies vs Vampires Blog Post Paragraph

I would rather get attacked by zombies rather then vampires. The reason is because it is possible to get away from a zombie, but a vampire can hunt you down. Although, zombies look more frightening there really is no way of getting away from a vampire. A attack from a zombie would be devastating if you got caught. The pain would feel like it would never stop, but vampires only bite your neck if im not mistaken. This shows that there is no getting away from a vampire.

Testing Thoughts Paragraph

I think it is very unfair for high school students to have to pass both of the math and english tests to graduate. Some students feel pressured and think they are going to do a bad job on the tests. They also get lazy because of all the questions they have to go through. I agree with as long as students don't have any D's or F's in any core classes throughout classes without making them up, then they should not be able to graduate.

Technology in School Paragraph

My teacher which is Ms. Priester, helps me learn using technology. For example, in my class we use forms so we can submit are work which makes it easier. Everything is much more organized and all the information is right on the blog. It clarifies all the things you need to have to get your assignments done. This helped me in many ways, without technology I would be unorganized and wouldn't have anything turned in. Something that we do that is useful is the vocabulary cards that we have in are google docs. We type in all the information on a card everyday that helps me remember. I hope all of this has brought to your attention how wonderful technology is today.

Imagery in Poetry Blog Post Paragraph

I was in Carlsbad, California where me and my teamates had a football championship game. I seen a large crowd near are sidelines and less on the home side. I heard cheering from the crowd along with the cheerleaders. I felt a tingle in my body knowing we were getting closer to victory. I knelt down and put my right hand on the ground, rushed the quarter back and got a sack. The crowd was very loud. Then sure enough the buzzer went off and we were champions. I felt a sensation for this victory, happy that I could say me and my teamates won something that we earned for the first time as a family!

Dragons' Den First Semester Week 12: Veterans Day

I would not enlist in the military. One reason is because I wouldn't want to risk my life for something that doesn't need to happen. Another reason is I would rather do something else then killing other people. Additionally if it came down to it, I would fight for my freedom. But other wise I would just do another job that doesn't require my life on the line. Also I couldn't do a job on a big boat because I have motion sickness.

As I walked into boys 105 today, I thought the carpet was going to be dirty because they have just cleaned it. Then, I thought to myself thinking how could I make this carpet the same without anyone messing it up. When I looked toward the kids, they knew we were going to have a talk about making the living room stay how it is. Later, I cooked dinner and told the kids that they can't eat or drink in the living room anymore. As I went off shift, I felt relieved that the cleaners came by and removed all the spots!

Dragons' Den First Semester Week 11: Sports & Grades

Student athletes should be required to have good grades in order to play sports because its not that hard to get a 2.0. One reason is that their not asking for you to get a 3.0 or a 4.0, the athletes should be happy all they need to get is a 2.0. Another reason is that it should set some type of motivation for them so they can get good grades. Additionally, athletes are supposed to be known as ''student athletes.'' In order to help students, schools should provide tutors for extra help.

Dragons' Den First Semester Week 10: Homecoming

The spirit days were creative. For example, the decades day was something that would of never came to my mind. The pep assembly was really boring, for example the step team tried to hard and their routine was off. The football game was awesome. For example I got a interception which made me feel good. The dance was decent because the food was alright and the music that was playing was not up to date.

Dragons Den 7: Would You Rather?

 I would rather lick three public telephones rather than eating hair. Eating a handful of hair would be to much to do. It would make my throat or my stomach feel really clogged. If I were to lick three telephones then I could just go home and brush my teeth and put some mouthwash in and I would be good. Who knows whats in someones elses hair like dandruff or something. Just thinking of that thought is horrible.

Dragons Den: Campus Donations

When these people donate to the academy I feel thankful because other places wouldn't get anything close to this. I know they truly care for what we feel and they want us to be as successful as possible. When they give us stuff for Christmas I always get excited to see what I got. When they donate its kind of random because sometimes you don't know exactly what there donating. It could be a lot of different things which makes it suprising. When I see these people I treat them with respect because its the right thing to do.
