“Through the Tunnel” Prove Yourself Paragraph

I was on the football field at San Pasqual Academy. I had to get off my defender to be able to get a chance to get the ball. I would of liked to have gotten more receptions but the opponents defense was getting into fast. At the end I felt sad because I know I didn't get to show my full potential. I atleast got two receptions with one that was a good twenty yard gain. Now I feel that everything happens for a reason so I think next year will be a even better year for me.

Symbolism: Symbol of Self

A item that represents me is a money symbol because I desire money. The reasons why I chose this is because I have a high standard in life to make as much money in life as possible. No matter what, I have money on me or I have it saved. Almost everyday I bring the mind set to get money so I can start saving again. Money is the most important value to me to and I always have something showing I like money. I can gurantee this symbol will carry on with me until I reach my goal to be successful.

Symbolism and Allegory Unit Reflection

I learned symbolism by doing a project about a story that we had read in class. How I learned allegory was by reading a story called the Skull and the Arrow, then after my classmate and I worked on a graphicorganizer that helped us understand what It really meant. My favorite symbolism project was the Grandfather because we did it on a site called glogster which was a fun experience. For allegory I always like working on the graphicorganizers and that was my favorite assignment for those two. Now if I come across something that represents symbolism or allegory then I'm going to know what it is when I see it.

Symbolism String

 1. Kim Kardashian symbolizes one of my interest because I have my way with the women and I think she is very attractive.
 2. A picture of Santa Ana symbolizes my backround because that is where I was born.
 3. Madden 11 symbolizes my hobbie because I usally play it all the time, thats the main game I play.
 4. A cleat symbolizes my passion for football because it is one of the things you need most so you wont lose your footing.
 5. A medal symbolizes that I had won a championship because thats what you get if you win or if not that then every player gets a trophy.
 6. A picture of two guys handshaking symbolizes friends because when you go up to your friend you do some kind of handshake.

"The Grandfather" Three Meanings of the Tree Paragraph

The most symbolic item in the the story is the alvacado tree. The tree represents the grandfather by making the tree grow stronger like he was doing. The narrator is represented by the alvacado tree by the alvacado's barely growing one by one almost ten years after another. The grandfather's family was also represented by the tree kind of the same way as the grandfather was trying to rebuild his family so they can be all bigger as one whole. Even working in Fresno with the oil not that great he still did it but the tree would of been better off growing with better oil in Mexico.
